The choice comes down to: manufacturers quality reputation vs rated weight capacity vs price. Superwinch gets good reviews, and the price was very good so I decided to go with this winch. Installation was easy, and the power cables were long enough to reach my battery with about a foot to spare. Be aware that if your battery is on the drivers side firewall, and/or you need to route the cables in less than a straight run, you might be short on cable length. Other things you will need to install: 1/2" split tubing and zip ties. I also needed a short jumper to go from the included circuit breaker to the positive battery terminal. The instructions show the circuit breaker bolted directly to the positive battery terminal, but this was not possible in my vehicle.
