This immoblizer or "boot" as they are known in PD circles is an almost fool proof anti-theft device. Placed on the rim of a trailer tire yields the trailer immobile. On a motorcycle, on a motor vehicle, whatever. I called my insurance man to insure my 35K pontoon boat, motor and trailer and he advised an immobling device (did not specify this one) which would qualify me for a 15% discount on my marine insurance. Wish they had one for a teenager that was legal, non fattening and non punitive.Unless you live in a town next door to the Chief of Police, you may want to consider this restraining device, easy to place, easy to remove (with a key) and practically indestructable. This past weekend (Labor Day 2005) I used mine for the first time and it works every time unless you forget to put it on.......
